  10. A little tool to fine-tune your mouse,
  11. this time for owners of wheelmice, trackballs or 3-button mice.

  16. Are you disappointed with the amount of software which supports
  17. the wheel?
  18.  
  19. If this sounds like you, then you'll love FreeWheel!
  20.  
  21. FreeWheel can scroll any window which either contains standard gadtools
  22. scrollbars, or listens for cursor up/down keypresses.
  23.  
  24. Clicking of the wheel-button (or MMB on non-wheeled mice) can be
  25. mapped to several functions, including the ubiquitous MMB-Shift.
  26.  
  27. FreeWheel also provides continuous adjustment of mouse speed,
  28. between 33% and 300%, via a hotkey-accessible GUI.
  29.  
  30. It can also provide my personally preferred click-to-front behaviour
  31. (where a double-click in the window border brings forward the window)
  32.  
  33. FreeWheel is NOT a serial mouse driver - so you'll still need NewMouse
  34. or whatever to drive your mouse.

  37. New for V2.1:
  38. Now co-exists better with Alessandro Zummo's MUIWheel.  If MUIWheel 1.4
  39. is running, FreeWheel can be told to ignore MUI windows.
  40.  
  41. Can now reverse the direction of scrolling.

  43. Double-clicks of the fourth button (given a suitable driver) should now
  44. work properly.

  48. Scroll events can now be generated using non-wheeled mice or trackballs.

  50. The GUI has been extended, and the whole program made more flexible.

  54. Horizontal scrolling with 2-axis mouse works again!

  57. New for V1.1:
  58. The Horizontal and Vertical mouse speeds can now be set individually.
  59. Useful if you're working a screen mode which doesn't have square pixels.

  61. Screens can now be cycled with a double-click of the middle/wheel button.

  63. Horizontal scrollers and sliders can now be moved with the wheel.
